Shark vacuum cleaners are difficult to locate background on.  How long the company has been in existence and who founded it seems to be very elusive.  This is also true with what appears to be the parent company – Euro-pro.  Despite this, however, the vacuum cleaners have a strong following and sell well.  Part of the reason for this is that the Shark vacuum cleaner company has many different products.  They sell upright and canister vacuums, steam vacuums, and handheld vacuums.  The model that is being marketed right now, however, is the Infinity Upright.  This particular vacuum cleaner uses cyclonic action to keep the vacuum cleaner from ever losing suction.  Other highly-marketed products include a bagless upright cleaner and a wall-hugging model that picks up dirt along edges and in corners.  Naturally, all of these products have marketability and would be of interest to various segments of the population.  The Infinity Upright, the most popular model that the Shark vacuum cleaner company offers right now, sells for around $200 and weighs almost 20 pounds.  For some people this would be more than they would want to spend and the weight could also be problematic for individuals that have disabilities, are elderly, or must carry the vacuum up stairs.  However, the quality of the Shark vacuum cleaner ensures that the company will continue to have customers that purchase their products.

 

 

One large advantage to the Shark vacuum cleaner company is that its products and accessories can easily be purchased online.  An individual that does most of his or her shopping online will have no trouble ordering a vacuum cleaner and having it delivered, which saves that person the hassle of going to the store and carrying a heavy item out to the car.  The accessories for the Shark vacuum cleaner can also be purchased online, and this is a benefit that not all vacuum cleaner companies offer.  Being able to order accessories and replacement parts online not only saves time, but many customers in rural areas would otherwise not be able to get parts and accessories for their Shark vacuum cleaner because there would not be a store nearby that would carry the parts that they need.  Few things are more annoying to most consumers than not being able to get a replacement part for an appliance that they have purchased.  This could necessitate purchasing a replacement appliance, which is much more expensive than a replacement part for most items.  Because Shark has given consumers the ability to purchase products and services so easily, it has an advantage over many of its competitors.  The down-side to this, of course, is that consumers that are shopping at one of the larger retail stores will not be able to purchase accessories for their Shark vacuum at those stores, which can be a nuisance factor for individuals that do not own a computer or that do not feel comfortable providing online companies with sensitive information.  For these individuals, a different brand of vacuum cleaner other than the Shark vacuum cleaner might be a better choice.
